Homecoming Registration

Homecoming is the largest Avondale Alumni event of the year.

All alumni and friends of Avondale, and their families, from all years and classes are welcome. The heart of Homecoming: the honour year reunions.

If you studied or worked at Avondale in 1949, 1959, 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 or 2009, 2019 is your honour year.

Register to attend Homecoming 2019 (Friday, August 23 to Saturday, August 24) by purchasing a Homecoming Pass.

A Homecoming Pass includes:

• Lunch in the Cafeteria on Saturday
• Complimentary Alumni Card—entitles card holders to benefits such as access to Avondale Libraries and discounts on accommodation and events
• Complimentary copy of: Anzac Spirituality, a book by Associate Professor Daniel Reynaud exploring the spiritual beliefs and experiences of the Anzacs largely through their own words, or; Experiment on the Dora, an Avondale Academic Press book telling the history of Avondale College of Higher Education.

Collect your Homecoming Pass in the foyer of Avondale College Seventh-day Adventist Church between 4 and 7 pm on Friday, August 23, or between 9 and 11 am on Saturday, August 24.

Accommodation

Avondale provides accommodation for Homecoming in the Andre Hall residence on the Lake Macquarie campus.

Meals

A Homecoming Weekend Pass includes lunch in the Cafeteria on Saturday.

Concert

The Homecoming concert, Hymns and Songs of Praise, features a celebration of hymn and song singing with Dr Lyell Heise and the Institute of Worship.
